Oral Health Awareness and Dental Check Surabaya Indonesia

Access to preventive healthcare and health education plays an important role in supporting children’s wellbeing and healthy development. As part of its commitment to contributing positively to local communities, PT Nusantara Prestige Asia, a joint venture of Prestige, identified an opportunity to promote oral health awareness and improve access to basic dental care for children living in orphanages through collaboration with trusted local partners.

The initiative aimed to improve children’s oral health by providing free dental check-ups, preventive treatment, and dental hygiene education while creating an engaging and supportive environment that encouraged healthy habits. It also sought to support the participating orphanages through donations of essential supplies.

To implement the programme, PT Nusantara Prestige Asia partnered with the local NGO Kreasi Pemuda Tanpa Batas Surabaya and Yayasan Bangun Sehat Indonesiaku (YBSI). The initiative was delivered across three orphanages—Kreatif Darul Hikmah Orphanage, LKSA Emmanuel Orphanage, and Al Ibrah Orphanage—in Surabaya, Indonesia. Five volunteer dentists from YBSI provided dental hygiene education, conducted dental examinations, delivered necessary treatments, and distributed medicines. Throughout the day, children participated in educational games focused on child growth and development, received toothbrushes, toothpaste, and snack packages, while selected participants were awarded educational toys and stationery. The participating orphanages also received donations of essential food items and baby supplies contributed by PT Nusantara Prestige Asia, YBSI, and Kreasi Pemuda Tanpa Batas Surabaya.

The program reached 163 participants, including children and caregivers across the three orphanages, providing access to preventive dental care, oral health education, and essential treatments. In addition to supporting children’s health and wellbeing, the initiative supplied the orphanages with basic necessities to help meet their everyday needs. Through collaboration with local partners and healthcare volunteers, the program reinforced PT Nusantara Prestige Asia’s commitment to community wellbeing and improving access to essential health services.

Education for a Sustainable Future – Scholarship Program in Manisa Turkiye

This presented an opportunity to support higher education while fostering the next generation of skilled professionals and community leaders.

Prestige aimed to encourage academic achievement and promote youth skills development by providing long-term educational support to university students. The initiative was designed to help talented students continue their studies, strengthen their personal and professional development and reinforce the company’s commitment to investing in local communities.

To achieve this, Prestige established a scholarship program in partnership with Manisa Celal Bayar University in Manisa, Türkiye. Launched as a permanent initiative in 2022, the program provides scholarships to 17 university students each year. Through this long-term collaboration, Prestige supports students throughout their academic journey while contributing to the development of a skilled and educated workforce for the future.

Since becoming a permanent program, the initiative has provided consistent educational opportunities for 17 students annually, demonstrating Prestige’s sustained investment in youth development. Beyond supporting academic success, the program helps strengthen future skills, encourages students to pursue their educational ambitions and reinforces the company’s long-term commitment to fostering talent and contributing to the sustainable development of the local community.

Mangrove Stewardship Initiative Taman Mangrove Wonorejo Surabaya, Indonesia

Mangrove ecosystems are among the most valuable natural assets for climate regulation, biodiversity and coastal protection.

In Indonesia, protected mangrove areas offer a unique opportunity to safeguard these benefits while increasing awareness of their ecological and climate value.

As an international agricultural company, Prestige Leaf recognizes the importance of supporting nature-based solutions and promoting responsible stewardship of forest ecosystems.

This created an opportunity to contribute positively by advancing conservation efforts and engaging stakeholders in meaningful environmental action.

Prestige aimed to support conservation efforts within a protected mangrove area while raising awareness of the critical role these ecosystems play in climate resilience and biodiversity.

The initiative was designed to improve ecosystem stability while fostering stakeholder engagement through direct, hands-on participation and collaboration with a credible local partner.

To implement the initiative, Prestige partnered with the environmental NGO Kreasi Pemuda Tanpa Batas, ensuring alignment with local conservation priorities and expertise.

The project was carried out in a protected coastal area Taman Mangrove Wonorejo in Surabaya, Indonesia, where 30 volunteers from Kreasi Pemuda Tanpa Batas and 10 team members from Prestige Leaf participated in a structured mangrove planting activity.

The initiative combined practical restoration efforts with awareness-building, highlighting the importance of mangroves in supporting biodiversity, protecting coastlines and contributing to climate mitigation through nature-based solutions.

The initiative contributed to the resilience and long-term viability of a protected mangrove ecosystem, supporting its ecological functions and coastal protection role.

A total of 1,000 mangroves were planted, contributing to habitat development and natural shoreline stabilization.

Beyond supporting habitat for fish, crustaceans, birds and other coastal wildlife, and contributing to shoreline stability and natural protection against storm surges and erosion, these mangroves are expected to sequester approximately 10 to 15 tonnes of CO₂ equivalent per year, supporting climate mitigation efforts.

In addition, the project increased stakeholder awareness and engagement, demonstrating the value of collaborative, nature-based action in delivering measurable environmental impact.
